Relive the Moments
Once digitized, your footage is ready to watch, share, and enjoy on any modern device.
Video tapes don't last forever. In fact, most VHS and camcorder tapes have a lifespan of just 10–25 years — and many are already past it. Over time, magnetic tape deteriorates, leading to fuzzy picture, distorted audio, or total playback failure. The good news: if your tapes can still play, they can still be saved. Digitizing is a careful, real-time recording process — we play your tape from start to finish, capturing every minute of footage so nothing gets left behind. Unlike bulk conversion services, we don't fast-forward, skip, or cut corners. Once the recording is complete, we review every file for tracking, image quality, and sound quality to make sure you're getting the best result possible before it ever leaves our hands. We also pay attention to the details that matter to you. If your tapes are labeled, we'll keep your content in chronological order. Have special notes or memories you want preserved? We'll do our best to include them. And if you have any special requests or accommodations, just ask — we're happy to work with you every step of the way. The longer you wait, the greater the risk. Bring your tapes in today and let us help you protect the moments that can't be replaced.
Using a trusted local expert is the safest way to digitize your irreplaceable materials. At Linhoff Photo, every project is handled with professional care and attention — so you always know who's responsible for your memories and can count on results you can trust.

We convert a wide range of formats including VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, 8mm, MiniDV, Betamax, and more. Not sure if we support your format? Give us a call or stop in and we'll take a look.
Your footage is delivered as digital files on your choice of output — USB drive, DVD, or digital download. We recommend ordering an extra copy to keep as a backup or share with family members.
Pricing is a flat rate per tape — and if your tape turns out to be blank or recorded entirely over with TV coverage, you won't be charged. If your tape is damaged or won't play, bring it in and we'll assess it. In some cases minor repairs can be made before transfer, and we'll always let you know what's possible before any work begins.
Turnaround times vary depending on the number of tapes and current volume. We'll give you an estimated completion timeframe when you drop off your order.
Magnetic tape deteriorates over time — VHS tapes have an estimated lifespan of 10–25 years, and many are already past that window. The longer you wait, the greater the risk of losing the footage permanently. Digitizing now protects those memories before it's too late.
